my mac on it's death bed

well my mac is done for. one hinge broke last month, now the other hinge is busted! my screen can't stay up on it's own. so it basically lays flat unless i put a huge dictionary or pillow behind it. and if it doesnt rest at the right spot the screen turns blue then red then green....ahhhhhhhhhh! i can't afford a new mac right now. dear santa if you're reading this please please please help me!

8 years and counting.

Yesterday November 13th, was Ape and I's 8 year dating anniversary. It doesn't seem like 8 years but here it is. Our plan was to hold off our big date night for the weekend since we would have more time and ape has an exam this week. But last night we had a little mini date in fairfax corner. We had some drinks and dinner at pf changs and dessert at benjamin & jeramiah's, which is ben & jerry's for you slow people. to our surprise pf changs was sooper busy on a tuesday night, i guess ffx corner issss alive on the weekdays. And after picking up the new alicia keys we headed home, ape went back to grinding in the books and i played xbox 360 and beat guitar hero II on medium. yay me! And Ape gave me two sweet, and a little corny cards that i loved of course. This weekend we have a lovely dinner planned and maybe a movie or more drinks to follow. can't wait.

weekend rewind

Friday night ape and i headed out to watch the wiz play the nuggets. Before hand we had dinner at Sushi Yama in Vienna. Good sushi, good portions and tasty. We'll be back to try the dragonfly roll. We like how there are less drama'ed out wannabe HILLS characters there than say Ichiban in Mclean, haha. At the game the wiz didn't do well at all, they into a 20pt deficit rather quickly. But Ape and I had a good time none the less drinking our $7 beers and laughing at the timeout entertainment. After the game met up with Gil, checked out his new tat and thanked him for the tix. He had to run because they had a post-game meeting. We hopped onto the metro which took way too long and we were finally back in fairfax almost 2hrs later. We grabbed some taco bell for late night eats and called it a night since it was sooper late when we got in.

Saturday i spent the day with my fam in brambleton, played with the baby, the Littles came into town and i finally got to see Scott. We also played some football outside, had bubble tea, and kuya introduced me to opentable.com, the simple easy way to reserve tables at your favorite restaurants. Expect a full review of "White Pepper" in a couple of weeks. Jayden's bff Aden came over to play and we had dinner with their parents. Ape also came over after her long day of studying and work.

Sunday Ape and I met with a potential photographer for our wedding. She seemed cool and she has great work. We commit yet because we wanna look at one more photographer before we decide. After that we made a quick trip to Potomac Mills, oh don't eat at Jerry's over there they suck. Then we made a stop at work and trekked back out to brambleton were kuya cooked us up a yummie italian meal. risotto, steak with pesto/fresh tomato sauce and baked chicken. We were also entertained by mom and dad and uncles corny and sometimes raunchy jokes.

Again it was another eventful weekend were you wish you had more time. Plus I wish i was younger cause i wouldnt be soo tired or get drunk as quick or have soo much stuff to do. And on a side note - i'm #1 in my fantasy football league, it's me bitchezzzzz!

we're going to the wiz vs nugs game tonight. hopefully i won't bring my curse with me this time. cause last time i went gil jacked up his knee and was out for the season. anywho it should be a great night, esp. after the week that ape and i have had. go wiz! have a good weekend everyone.

fellas, in regards to wearing collared shirts with sweaters: please make sure the collars stay tucked in the sweater. having the collars out only calls attention to flaming.

fooood!

made some crispy fish tacos last night. yummmm! try making pink sour cream = a cup of sour cream, less than a cup of mayo and a couple chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, splash some lime juice. blend that up and let it sit in the fridge before you serve it. sorry no pictures but just vision this outside of the takeout box.
tonight's dish is rib eye with something on the side. haha


o and next time i'm in the mood for calamari, i want some of this, from Overwood in old town Alexandria. looks good, but Washingtonian says anything not fried at the joint is pretty bland.

6lbs 15oz. ~ 20inch long...
she had a little pumpkin cap on covering her full head of hair. Mommy and baby are doing great. Jayden on the other hand was bouncing all over the place on his sugar high, while saying "emma emma emma." does baby have a new name???? we'll see. what a great halloween, pix to come later....
