23501 The Drop Widget

sammmich spread

you've gotta pick up the march 2008 Esquire magazine. inside you'll find an encyclopedia of sandwiches. it's about ~8 pages that will make you drool and sweat soo hard for a cold cut, and i'm not talking lindsey lohan in the New York Mag (which is a great magazine too). there's everything from one of my fav's the Cuban to PBJ virgins. they even tell you what's in them so you can attempt to make them at home. at if you don't want to make them they have the restaurants there so you can find them. they even honor the chicken sandwich from Chick-a-fila and the Mc Rib. soo pick it up and eat it!

snow?

So where is this big wintry storm at? We were supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow last night but this morning I awoke to zippy on the ground. But for the first time ever ape's school was canceled. So i got up and got ready for work worrying about the treacherous icy slippery drive to tysons corner. So i leave a little late to get to work since, i have an excuse for being late. I get gas and get on to 66 where, traffic is nada. I carefully drive into work just encase black ice sneaks up on the awd HL but there was none. I get to work with 5 minutes to spare, huh.

After work today, we're going to Richmond for more wedding errands and LB-n-Winstons's B-day Bash. Korean BBQ and Roller Skating. Yea yea son, gonna Breaksk8 it up! Siiiiiike. But really i'm still worrying about the potential of ice all over the road and/or a traffic jam that last for days.

So with that, have a good weekend everybody. Travel safe, and do work!

suns and moon

what a fun filled night last night. the lunar eclipse was out. the suns vs. lakers game was on. did you happen to peek at the moon last night around 10ish, 11ish. it was pretty cool to see the moon turn kinda orangy and disappear for a little. if you missed it you can check it out again in 2010.

but there was also a pretty good game on last night. the debut of shaq in a suns jersey. yes he was very rusty and i'm not truly sure he is gonna work out on the team. he says he'll need a few more games to get used to the teams flow. but i think the team is probably gonna have to adjust to him more. he's such a big mass that looks like he gets in the way of his stealthy teammates cutting to the basket. he also looks like labors in the paint not willing to fight for position for a reb. maybe its cause he's been on the bench with an injury but he looks out of it. in the end, the lakers ended up winning that game with an awesome display of bball skills by kobe bryant. he's crazy good.

another thing on my mind. kansas state bball. why do these guys get soo much air time? they suck! MASON BEAT THEM! mike baisley is supposed to a player of the year nominee? he sucks, and that's that. i'd rather watch TLC's half man half tree story. which i did. and that shet is freakin freaky.

Traded!

A few of my NBA figures here at work, KG, SHAQ, and BIG BEN have been traded. errrr. I have Yao Ming and the retired Reggie Miller, but they aren't cool enough to display alone. Time to re-up and see what's in the clearance bin at toysrus.com!

vote

If you're eligible to vote today, do it. Do it, c'mon, do it...Do it.

we talkin about practice, practice?

In my NBA2k8 season my Wizards time went on a 5 game funk at about the same time the real Wizards got on their 8 game losing streak. Last night my team finally pulled through with a 3 point victory over the Suns. Me, EB, my Bro, and Dee all pulled out solid performances doing our job to control the post. But looking back it's kinda funny how the 360 got me to lose those games. Did it know that the real Wizards aren't doing so well that it gives more help to my opponent? Or does it know that I can't really win every game by throwing ridiculous alley-oops and trying to drain every 3pt attempt I try. I guess it does.
So now I to be like a real coach to a freakin fake computer team and schedule practices, not just regular practice, but ball handling, defense, rebounding....And I have to determine how intense I want them to be and if I have to focus on a certain player, he is singled out. Not to mention having to call offensive plays and defensive sets during the game. Yes, I'm serious, I know this is just a video game but it's almost All-Star break and I'm one lose away from my 10th and I can't have that. There's no way I'm going to match the Bulls 72-10 season.
Anyways, back to work....
